I didn't do this when I disassembled a D8L that I picked up at a yard sale and it caused the shutter assembly to get "unsprung". Human error of cou...Well I think I broke the motor. Human error of course, this tutorial is amazing, and I had a blast with this little project. I unfortunately put the black felt in loose and it jammed the shutter. When I dissembled to find this, the motor limiting gears became misaligned. Long story short, I think I over cranked the motor during trial and error, or my limiting gears are off.
